Tia believes the therapeutic relationship and providing a safe and accepting space is key to healing and transformative growth. Together, Tia and her clients explore how past experiences shape present patterns and collaborate on strategies to create lasting, meaningful change. She works with couples and individuals facing an array of difficulties including anxiety, depression, adjustment challenges, and developmental trauma.
Tia applies an integrative, client-centered, evidenced-based approach to therapy. She draws from psychodynamic theory, somatic experiencing, narrative therapy, CBT, interpersonal neurobiology, and mindfulness to support healing and growth. Tia tailors her interventions to each client’s unique needs while considering how cultural, systemic, and environmental contexts inform the treatment.
Tia is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New York. She holds a Master of Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College with a concentration in mental health.
